Barclay, Kayin

Kayin Barclay is a Vice President at Advantage Capital, where he sources, underwrites, and manages deals for the Empower the Change Fund. He has over a decade of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, portfolio management, and financial modeling. Before joining Advantage Capital, Kayin served as a Senior Vice President at Insight Equity, a private equity firm based in Southlake, Texas. Earlier in his career, he was an Associate at RLJ Equity Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Barclays Capital in New York City. He began his professional journey as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in Atlanta. Kayin holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Economics. At Morehouse, he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and named a Presidential Scholar. Originally from Chicago, Kayin now lives in the Atlanta area with his wife (his college sweetheart and Spelman graduate), their two-year-old daughter, and their labradoodle. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is passionate about travel, the University of Georgia football team, and chess, having earned the title of National Master in 2008.
