Renee McCalla-Taylor is an accomplished private equity investor and operator with more than 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare, manufacturing, and business services. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 4C Capital, she leads investment strategy, origination, and portfolio value creation across the lower middle market. Her track record includes thirteen completed transactions, four platform investments, and three successful exits. Notably, Renee led the acquisition and transformation of Sparkstone (formerly Chicago Switchboard), scaling EBITDA from $2.5 million to $60 million in four years before a 2024 exit to a major private equity firm. Renee’s investment philosophy combines disciplined financial execution with an operator’s mindset focused on people, process, and purpose-driven growth. A recognized advocate for Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses, she has served on the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council and the Business and Professional Women’s (BPW) Orlando Chapter, and actively mentors’ women entrepreneurs through the Gwinnett Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She holds both a B.S. and M.A. in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida.
